Clay - Early Work

I studied Ceramics under Michel Conroy at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. My college years, up to that point in my life, were the best years I'd ever experienced in a learning environment.

The first time I walked into the ceramics lab, the lights were down low, and all I heard was the hum of an old Shimpo wheel in the corner. I was transfixed. I immediately felt the pull of clay on my heart and my mind.
